DK Appears In iMedia Connection's List of Top Agencies

Designkitchen appeared along with 25 other top interactive agencies in iMedia Connection’s 2011 list. Considered the cream of the crop, these agencies “advanced interactive marketing through big ideas, brilliant creative, cutting-edge technology, and the passionate pursuit of excellence in the digital space.” DK was recognized in particular for its outstanding work with Butterball and especially Burger King, which in their words “really shows off the agency’s engagement chops.” DK shares space with some of New York’s big names on this list, which you can see here.

The Designkitchen team and our Wunderman partners are ecstatic over the press we’re getting for our recent work.

An article in the latest issue of Ad Age, and on AdAge.com, celebrates our work on the new Butterball.com. The article talks about how the new site delivers the expertise and recipes of Butterball to a new generation of Thanksgiving chefs in a very “Web 2.0” way.

This is a project we’re particularly proud of, so it’s great to see it acknowledged in a respected publication like Ad Age.

Every Thanksgiving, Butterball.com gets more and more visitors. So, the Wunderman and DesignKitchen team made a site that can handle such a heavy load a top priority.

To do so, we distributed the meat of the site to servers around the world. This allowed Butterball to serve up recipe searches, mobile content and cooking tips. You name it, we made happen quickly and easily. Thankfully, the site could hand out leftovers recipes and sandwich ideas without worrying about tryptophan fatigue.

Now, the site's main server has time for more complex questions.
Like, "Why am I still sitting at the kids' table?"

We also created a first for the category. The mobile site m.butterball.com puts that final piece of the Thanksgiving puzzle – right at your fingertips.

Now, Butterball has you covered at home and in the grocery aisle … leaving you plenty of time for an afternoon nap.
