DK and Eliason Media Build Innovation Hub for Motorola

Dkblog_motopost

Earlier this year, Motorola and strategic partner Bulldog Solutions contracted IDC to create a collection of industry-focused content centered on innovation; including trends, best practices and guidance on how enterprise and government organizations can operate more efficiently with Motorola Solutions.

Notorious for its leadership in product development and services, Motorola believed that this effort was a fundamental undertaking—one that provided its customers with relevant, non-biased content, and in turn, encouraged them to engage with Motorola products and services.

With the content creation phase complete, Motorola turned to Designkitchen and Eliason Media to create a depository that not only facilitated the user experience, but collected essential consumer data.

Together, we are proud to present The Innovation Paradox—a content-rich hub that integrates Eloqua software and a custom-built Rails CMS. Here, visitors are invited to register to gain access to premium thought leadership resources, such as white papers, implementation guides, technology and solutions briefs, and more. Through registration, Motorola captures massive quantities of detailed consumer data that aid in tailored conversations and sales leads, as well as deliver indispensable content to enterprise and government agencies.

Motorola Solutions on the Rise

Safari

DK is pleased to announce Motorola Solution’s new ‘Rise’ campaign! Following the separation of Motorola into two independent companies, Motorola Solutions (MSI), the new B2B entity, teamed up with BBDO New York and Designkitchen to develop a campaign that highlighted its new status and brand promise. With the goal of activating Motorola Solutions’ focus on mobilizing/connecting people during the moments that matter through innovation, DK designed a site that shows how MSI’s solutions empower people in the government and enterprise sectors to make informed decisions when the clock is ticking – allowing them to rise above their daily challenges. The centerpiece of the site, a series of videos shot over the course of 8 days between LA, Philadelphia and Chicago, show scenarios of public safety officials, retailers, industrial workers and transportation professionals in critical moments, such as fighting fires or responding to crimes. Localized for 11 languages, the site allows users to explore each scenario further by seeing how Motorola solutions helped solve the problem at hand.

Content-rich and full of unique functionality, including an “Ask an Expert” Q&A section that enabled users to directly engage in dialogue with Motorola during the trade shows, the portal also features a viral send-to-friend component as well the ability for users to bookmark and link favorite videos to social networking sites.

Created to support many other Motorola Home & Networks Mobility initiatives, the site will be used as a central hub for future events and programs.

Big Honor for Motorola

We just got some great news! CableFax, a leading trade journal for the cable industry, rewarded Motorola’s Ultra-Broadband Solutions site as the winner of their Best Overall Website for Non-Networks category.

A great win for Motorola, they even had some really nice things to say about the site. “Technology vendors often have a tough time with websites. Their sites must satisfy tech-savvy engineers, but also MSO execs and the general public. Launched in January 2008, Motorola’s DOCSIS 3.0 site accomplishes this difficult task and more. While it’s loaded with technological sections, it also states the business case for DOCSIS and provides a wealth of material that’s easily digestible by the lay person, including links to NCTA and Cable-Labs materials. Even better, the sites is easy to navigate and updated frequently.”

We’re elated we could be a part of such a great win with Motorola. A big thanks to CableFax for the honor!

Throughout the site, we follow real users as they become more efficient and improve customer service within the enterprise – with unbelievable ease. We feel it’s these authentic user-experiences that bring the advanced technology to life and offer a much-needed human connection to the solutions.

For us, it’s like a non-fiction digital fairytale – no night-light required.

Sometimes the Designkitchen team likes to flex some multimedia muscle. Motorola’s Media Mobility Solutions microsite is a perfect example.

To show the sheer awesome power of this solution set, we created a series of interactive vignettes highlighting Motorola’s Home and Networks portfolio. Each highlights amazing user experiences and makes the dreams of service providers – targeted advertising, interactive television, and advanced telephony – reality.

I Spy: Motorola Video Surveillance

Video

Have you spied the new Motorola Wireless Video Surveillance site?

Tasked with establishing Motorola as the undisputed leader in the wireless video surveillance space, the Designkitchen team jumped at the chance to make a splash.

First, we developed a strategy that talks to the specific needs of each segment. Then the team created a flash module to highlight how easy it is to add solutions to any size space. And we put it all together with a site experience that encourages the user to explore and learn more.

So, take a minute and take a look around. Maybe download a case study or two. With this site, seeing really is believing.
