We are proud to announce an updated Oprah’s Angel Network site featuring an enhanced community section.

This new community section allows users to share so much more than ever before. Members can create their own profiles, share personal inspirational stories as well as read and comment on others, tag their favorite stories and post inspiring messages. Other exciting new features include a member counter showing how many members have joined, recent activity around the network and a community fact section highlighting statistics from members within the community. It’s like your own personal Angels communication hub.

Within just a couple weeks of the site launching, over 1,000 members have already joined! And the member counter is still ticking…

Making a Difference

The Designkitchen team just finished Phase 2 of OAmbassadors.org.

With this augmentation phase, we really feel like we’re doing our part to help the cause. DK created all-new Flash elements for the Global, Educators and Students landing pages, capturing inspiring stories from children around the world in developing countries, focusing on educators being a partner for change, and inspiring youth in the community to find solutions to global challenges through O Ambassadors.

For the Students Flash piece, we created four games that correspond to the O Ambassadors Millennium Development Goals: poverty, education, health, and sustainable development. Students are able to interact with the games, and upon completion, get facts about what other students like them are doing to take action and create real and lasting global change.

Initially launched a little over a year ago, OAmbassadors.org captures the sense of leadership and prestige needed to inspire the audience to join
this movement.

Angel Network Revitalizes Web

We can’t say enough good things about Oprah’s Angel Network. Dedicated to inspiring individuals around the world to make a difference in the lives of others, the Angel Network asked our team to design and develop a new Oprah’s Angel Network web site and logo for its refreshed brand.

A thrilling opportunity, we developed an engaging site that creates a focused online presence for its projects and purpose. In addition, our brilliant Ruby on Rails crew built a customized CMS solution that allows the Angel Network to easily keep the site fresh at all times.

The Webby Awards, the leading international award recognizing excellence on the web, named the Oprah’s Angel Network web site an Official Honoree in the Community category.

The Oprah’s Angel Network is dedicated to inspiring individuals to make a difference in communities all over the globe. Empowering visitors to reach their full potential and join together to cultivate change, the site serves as an online hub for members to post and share their most memorable volunteer experiences and support others in their mission to make a difference.

Fewer than 15% of the over 8,000 entries submitted were recognized as Official Honorees. Designkitchen, in partnership with Oprah’s Angel Network, is proud of the distinction and extends gratitude to the Webby Awards.
